We are extremely proud to announce that TENSA PT system is the first officially approved by Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) under the new 2017 Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Tensa America 19AMTS bonded PT system is the first officially introduced on January 24th 2018 in the “Approved Post-Tensioning System Vendor List” released by FDOT Structures Design Office. A link to the web page is here: http://www.fdot.gov/structures/CADD/standards/ApprovedPTDrawings/ApprovedPTDrawings.shtm This first prestigious approval comes after nearly 5 years of developments and tests carried out in US laboratories to meet severe technical specifications and requirements from Florida Department of Transportation. This achievement is a powerful proof of the performance and development of Tensa PT system which is now ready and available to the Florida and USA market. Congratulations to the Technical Department working group who put together a huge effort to deal with a long testing and approval process that is not yet over!

📣Successful completion of fatigue and tensile test and fatigue and leak test over Tensa 4 strands hanger system for Pensacola Bay Bridge project! 🇺🇸🛣 Tensa has brilliantly completed the testing program for assessment of the 4 strands hanger system for the Pensacola Bay Bridge project in Florida (USA). Fatigue + tensile test and fatigue + leak test in accordance with PTI DC45.1-12 recommendations have been positively completed in the Structural Engineering Laboratory (GIMED) of the Politecnico of Milan (Italy). Tests have been required to assess the performance of the system that will be installed in the Pensacola Bay Bridge project, located in Pensacola, Florida, under the FDOT Authority. Cables for this project are designed to use galvanized, waxed and hdpe coated strand: this will be a new feature for US bridges and has been specifically requested by FDOT. Tensa America will be responsible for the supply and installation of the system in middle 2018.

Successful completion of fatigue and tensile test over 127 strands Tensa stay cable system 🎯 We have positively completed a fatigue and tensile test according to FIB bulletin 30 Recommendations over a 127TSR stay cable system in the CTL laboratory of Chicago. Such brilliant result extends TENSA range of stay cables tested sizes, reaching the capacity of more than 35 MN. This is a new limit reached that allows use of this system within structures where high capacity is required. More about SC technology: http://www.tensainternational.com/stay-cables

TENSA has positively completed a fatigue and tensile test carried out over a 37 strands stay cable provided with a multi-tube saddle type 37TSS-T. Test has been performed at the Politecnico of Milan, structural laboratory LPM, in full compliance with FIB Bulletin 30 (2005), imposing 2 fatigue million cycles and subsequent tensile resistance test, providing a final results in full compliance with acceptance requirements. This test, extremely complex for the set-up needed and dimensions of the testing apparatus, has been developed through more than 2 months and it is a unique test, having no other similar done in the market. This result has a strategical importance in the development and growth of Tensa stay cable system and it is a logical development of the previous one carried out in 2016 over a 7 strands stay cable. Congratulations to the entire working group of the Technical Department for such brilliant result!
